Seller Terms
Effective September 12, 2026 · eddy s.r.o., Šmahova 1244/112, 627 00 Brno-Slatina, Czechia
Additional terms for anyone who sells on eddy. They apply on top of the Terms and Conditions.
1. Seller types
You must declare whether you sell privately or as a business (Settings → Seller profile). Selling professionally while declared as a private seller is a breach. Indicators of business selling include regular sales of new goods, volumes typical of a trader, or selling on behalf of a company. This distinction matters for buyers: purchases from professional (business) sellers are covered by the EU 14-day right of withdrawal; purchases from private sellers are not. eddy shows each seller's type on the listing so buyers know which applies.
2. Business seller identification (KYBC)
Before or shortly after your first sale as a business we collect your legal name, company name, registration number, registered address, contact details, VAT ID where applicable and, where required, a bank account in the company's name. This information is shown to buyers and used for verification.
3. Commission and fees
Listing is free. eddy earns the Buyer Protection fee from the buyer and, where enabled, a commission on the item price from the seller, shown before you publish. The commission is deducted from your proceeds; your Balance shows the net amount.
4. Shipping and handling
Ship within 5 days with tracking. Late shipping, cancellations and disputes count against your performance and can lead to restrictions.
5. Payouts
Proceeds become available when the buyer confirms delivery (or 3 days after delivery). Withdrawals go to a bank account or card in your name; the finance team may hold payouts while disputes are open, when verification is outstanding, or on suspicion of fraud, and will tell you why.
6. Consumer rights (business sellers)
When you sell to a consumer you must honour the 14-day right of withdrawal, the legal guarantee for defects, and provide the pre-contractual information required by law. eddy shows your identity and seller type on the listing, checkout and receipt.
7. DAC7 reporting
Under Council Directive (EU) 2021/514 (DAC7), if in a calendar year you receive more than €2,000 or complete 30 or more sales on eddy, we are legally required to report your identity and total proceeds to the tax authorities. We collect the necessary identifiers (legal name, address, tax ID / date of birth) and may suspend payouts if you do not provide them. This does not by itself mean you owe tax — that depends on your personal situation.
8. Restrictions, suspension and termination (P2B)
If we restrict, suspend or terminate a business seller's account we provide a statement of reasons and, except in cases of illegal content, repeated breaches or legal obligations, 30 days' notice before termination. Complaints are handled through our internal complaint-handling system (Settings → Security → Appeal) and, on request, mediation.
9. Ranking
Search results rank listings by relevance, recency, engagement (views and favorites), seller performance and, where marked, sponsorship. Featured listings are labelled.
10. Reviews
Reviews come only from completed orders. Paying for, faking or manipulating reviews leads to removal and a ban.
